The Ham Learning Net connects radio amateurs seeking help or advice with Elmers willing to help.

Everyone needs a little help sometimes, and amateur radio operators are no exception.

Frequency:  448.625- (tone 100)

Join us in the Denver metro area every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. local time EXCEPT the third Wednesday of the month when we meet in person at the Denver Radio Club monthly meeting where visitors are always welcome.

Alternate frequencies for the Learning Net are 449.350 or 147.330, both with a tone of 100.0.

No membership in any club is necessary for you to join us on the air or visit a Denver Radio Club meeting.

You Can Be Net Control!

Do you have a secret desire to act as NCS (Net Control Station)?

Give it a try on the Learning Net!  That is one of the reasons the Learning Net was started, to give anyone a chance as net control operator.  There is a script and we can e-mail that to you so that you can follow along a time or two before you make your debut.

It's a lot of fun and great practice!

(Okay, I confess.  The Learning Net was started because I wanted to try my hand as NCS.  Rob encouraged me to start my own net—so I did—with his help and guidance.  —Becky, KDØAOE)

Thanks To Our Special Elmer

We want to thank our main Elmer, Rob (AJØC), who agreed to be our Elmer from the start.  Rob was first licensed in January of 1964.  He spent 26 years in the Navy in communications and 13 years since then as a systems integration engineer specializing in RF systems in the commercial world.

Rob is a terrific instructor, and I HIGHLY recommend his classes, even if you are already licensed. Here's what many of his student's say:

"He loves his subject and conveys that enthusiasm to his students."
